This is a fabricated, false Maltese skincare line. I wanted to create packaging designs that are eye-catching and cheerful, much like the warm and sunny weather almost all year round in Malta. Most skincare lines seen today are clean and minimalist, they are typically white and elegant. In my view, I did not see that as a fair representation of a Maltese brand. Not to say that Malta cannot be elegant but, I see it as a fun and wild little island. Therefore, I designed it to be vibrant and amusing while still minimalist in style with a limited color palette. The added illustration of the fragrance pulls it all together.
